Dear Kimps,

It's been years, and crazy to think that we've known each other for this long and I still haven't given you real hugs! From every review you've given me to every moment you spend on betaing my crap is treasured <3 I look back and giggle at how I urged you to first write for a contest, and you ended up being *my* "FF fairy godmother." You looked to me for some guidance back then, and now I cling to you for yours.  It's funny, but it also reminds me of how lovely our friendship is. We're silly yet serious, and we do things for each other. You're not only a wonderful friend, Kim, but one of the best women I've come to know in this community.

Dearest Noodle,

It occurred to me the other day that some people might think of your nickname as slightly insulting – ie, “wet noodle” (Let's not go to the dirty connotations just yet, I've only begun.). However, it prompted me to think about why exactly I picked that name. Thus began The Great Gmail Search of 2011 (tm). When I searched in my email for “noodle,” I got … a lot of emails that matched (us? Chatty?). Diligently, I kept going, searching for the very earliest reference to this nickname. There are hilarious subject lines (“Piece of Shit Drabble”, “Just Need to Squee”, etc.) and meaningful subject lines (“You Made Me Cried”, “Body Image”, etc.), and of course, recipes.

My dearest Kimpy,

I cannot express how happy I am to call you a friend. It was so wonderful to meet in person in January; I so hope we can do it again. 

You have taught me so much, not the least of which is how good parkas look in scrubs. ;) I am honored to have you in my life. I wish you all the best for this year and all those to come.

As Jane Austen Action Figure get some ACTION from the Edward Trio Action Figures, lonely Twilight Edward watches on in full emo-mode.

"Everybody's mouth is busy, but mine," he whimpers.

"My, my, Eclipse Edward... is that junk in your package," whispers Action Jane Austen, wagging her brows at him.

"Honest, Twilight Edward Action Figure, that other Edward means nothing to me," Action Jane Austen says in a sultry voice. "I've wanted you from the moment they pulled you from the plastic wrapper and put you on that shelf with me."

"I don't know if I believe you, Action Jane Austen," Twilight Edward Action Figure confesses. "Your face... you're just so... expressionless. I don't know how to read you." His eyes lower to her enticing bodice.

Action Jane Austen notices and leans closer. "You know... Nurse Kimpy keeps us on the bedside table together all day... all...." she raises her tiny black eyes to his, and pouts her lips as she adds softly, "...night."
